THE Met Office said a heatwave is not expected to hit Sussex any time soon but warmer weather is on the way.
It's been reported that a heatwave is expected in the UK in time for the bank holiday weekend.
But the Met Office said this isn't the case for Sussex although temperatures will reach around 25C.
Forecasters don't class this as a heatwave and say they can't be certain on what the weather will actually be like.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: "We are not calling it a heatwave. It is certainly going to get a bit warmer - we are just not that certain at the moment."
On the whole, the county is set to see another taste of summer as the sun is set to make a return this week.
Highs of 20C are predicted on Thursday.
Friday will become sunnier with highs of 22C and Saturday will see highs of 25C.
Sunday and Monday are set to be mostly dry and fine.
