A THIEF who broke into a cafe and stole cash has been jailed.
Ricky Lee Jones burgled the Cafe Trafe in Trafalgar Street, Brighton.
The 37-year-old took the till, which contained £400.
At Brighton Magistrates’ Court he admitted
Jones, of Bexhill Road, Brighton, was ordered to pay back £350 in compensation to the cafe. But no order for a surcharge was made because he lacks the means to pay.
Court documents state the offence was “serious” because of his “extensive record of burglaries”.
Jones, pictured, had committed the burglary while on licence from prison in June. Magistrate Barbara Dart jailed Jones for six months.
