A DOG that went missing has been found.

Pebbles, a 10-month-old mixed-bred dog, failed to come home for three days.

She ran out of a gate at her home address in Coleridge Crescent, Worthing on Tuesday morning but never returned.

A passer-by saw a car hit Pebbles near the bridge in Goring, and she took off into a field where she has been for the last three days, it is believed.

She was found alive today by members of the community caught in a fence in the field.

The little white dog, similar looking to a bichon frise, was injured from the accident and has been taken to the vet.

The search for her lasted about three days, during which a drone was used to scan the field where she was found.

Members of the community helped owners Catherine and Dennis Humphreys by sharing posts on the internet and physically searching throughout the day and night.

Caroline Draper, on behalf of the owners said: “Pebbles has been found. Alive.

“Her leg was trapped by some wire fencing in the field where we were all searching.

“She is off to the vet now. Fabulous news.”

She said Pebbles’ owners will update everyone later.
