A MAN has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car.
Air ambulance, ambulance and police services attended the scene.
A Sussex Police spokesman confirmed the force were called at 1.20pm to reports of a crash in Braypool Lane, Patcham, Brighton.
He said: "The pedestrian, a man, was taken by land ambulance to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with serious but not life-threatening or life-changing injuries."
A South East Coast Ambulance service spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
"Ambulance crews were joined by air ambulance at the scene and worked together to assess and treat the man's injuries.
"The man was in his 30s and had leg and head injuries.
"He was treated at the scene and taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital."
