A YOUNG boy has been airlifted to hospital after he was found unconscious in a swimming pool this Bank Holiday weekend.
It's believed the one-year-old crawled out of his home in Bognor, and fell into an open-air pool in the garden.
The family found him submerged in the water moments after they realised he was missing.
An air ambulance, paramedics and police rushed to the boy's home in West Sussex yesterday afternoon.
The boy was believed to be in a critical condition when he was airlifted for further treatment.
Sussex Police were understood to have interviewed the family about the circumstances of the incident and to have ruled it was a tragic family accident.
No further updates have been released about the boy's condition.
