IT'S difficult to get a foot on the property ladder these days unless you're extremely lucky (or earn the big bucks).

But if like us, you enjoy a good nose on property websites, eyeing up houses you can't afford, then you might be interested to know exactly where the most expensive streets in Brighton are.

According to property experts Zoopla, the average price of a three-bedroom house in Brighton is £472,188.

All of Brighton's most expensive streets are in the same three postcodes - so if you're looking for a bargain, this is where to avoid.

According to Zoopla's Zed Index these are the five most expensive streets in the city:

  • Western Esplanade, Portslade, Brighton BN41 - £2,382,148

The average price for property in Western Esplanade stood at £2,382,148 in August 2019. This is a fall of 0.64% in the last three months (since May 2019) and fall of 2.92% since 12 months ago. In terms of property types, flats in Western Esplanade sold for an average of £201,081 and terraced houses for £2,235,254.

The average price for property in Roedean Way stood at £2,282,750 in August 2019. This is a fall of 0.59% in the last three months (since May 2019) and fall of 1.48% since 12 months ago. In terms of property types, flats in Roedean Way sold for an average of £299,210 and terraced houses for £421,720.
