MASTERCHEF winner Kenny Tutt will be teaching some of his most popular recipes in his new cooking school.

Kenny, from Worthing, won the 2018 series of the hit TV show.

And earlier this year he opened his first restaurant, Pitch, in his home town.

The restaurant, in Warwick Street, launched in May and has already earned accolades including two AA Rosettes.

Now Kenny is adding an on-site cookery school.

He said: “It’s a real dream seeing it all come together, from a building site to what it is now.

“It’s the perfect time for it.

“I’ve been doing a lot of demonstrations since MasterChef and I find it so fun.

“It’s a space where the restaurant and school go hand in hand.

“It seems natural to invite people in and see how our food is put together.

“We’re making the most of the space you have because otherwise it would just be storage space.”

Kenny is offering a variety of courses.

During three-hour long lessons budding cooks will learn how to fillet and de-bone fish and meat, and make the products into complete meals.

There will be vegan cooking courses starting in the new year.

Kenny will also be offering parent and child classes.

These will be half-day events in which adults and their youngsters learn how to make delicious meals before the teachers, including Kenny, and students sit down in the restaurant together to eat the food.

The MasterChef winner has invited fellow Sussex chefs Michael Bremner and Steven Edwards to co-host some classes.

Kenny said: “We’re delighted with how the restaurant has started.

“It’s somewhere people can come and enjoy themselves without being pretentious.

“It seems natural to invite people in and see how our food is put together.”

Kenny’s cooking courses, which start at £100, begin at Pitch on September 18 and are available to book from Friday.
