A NEW shop is opening in the centre of Brighton.
H&F Haberdashery and Fabric is opening a branch in Western Road in the former Jamie Oliver’s Recipease store.
That closed in 2014 after more than five years in the city.
Over the weekend, new hoardings went up on the vacant building with the message “opening soon”.
It will be opposite C&H Fabrics.
The opening date is not yet known
H&F has another shop in Worthing.
The news comes after nearby Card Market announced it was closing.
The outlet store, which is owned by WHSmith, has announced it will be closing its store on Tuesday, September 10, via a poster displayed in the shop window.
The poster reads: “Customer notice.
“Card Market will be closing down on Tuesday, September 21.
“We would like to thank all our customers for shopping in this Card Market store.
The store, which sells a variety of gifts, cards and gift wrap, is slashing prices for a closing down sale.
