A VETERAN Sussex Tory announced his intention to vote against a no-deal Brexit, risking expulsion from his party.
Mid Sussex MP Sir Nicholas Soames, who is Winston Churchill’s grandson, said he would vote against the Government to ensure a no-deal Brexit would not take place.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson had previously said any MPs voting against the Government and against a no-deal exit would be expelled from the Conservatives.

The news came as Parliament reconvened yesterday for the first time since July.
As The Argus went to press, Conservative MP Phillip Lee had defected to the Lib Dems in the middle of a speech by Mr Johnson.
The former minister’s defection meant Boris Johnson’s Government no longer had a majority, making it easier for the opposition to thwart his no-deal Brexit plans – and possibly oust him.
Multiple Conservative MPs, including Mr Soames, had stated their intentions to vote for a bill endorsing a three-month extension in EU negotiations.
The possibility of a vote of no confidence in the Government has also been proposed.
If successful, the opposition would have to assemble their own government.
Currently the UK will leave the EU on October 31.
