A FATHER will appear in court accused of killing his eight-week-old baby daughter.
Michael Roe was arrested at his home in Alderbrook Close, Crowborough last night.
The 32-year-old was then charged with the murder of a child under the age of one.
He was also charged with wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent, and causing or allowing the death of a child.
It relates to the death of the baby in September last year.
Paramedics were called to the house in Alderbrook Close, Crowborough, in the early hours of Monday, September 10, 2018, where baby Holly Roe was reported to be having breathing difficulties.
She was taken to Pembury Hospital in Kent, where she died.
A post-mortem examination revealed that the cause of death was a traumatic head injury, police said.
Roe, unemployed, will appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court today.
Tiffany Tate, 21, the girl’s mother, has been handed a summons to appear to face a charge of causing or allowing the death of a child between July and September last year.
She will appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on September 12.
