A FOOD festival is offering diners the chance to eat at some of the city’s best restaurants for discount prices.

OctoberBEST. run by Brighton’s Best Restaurants, returns to the city for the fourth year running. It takes place between October 4 and 20.

Over the course of the two-week festival, 28 of the top restaurants in the city, as compiled by Brighton’s Best Restaurants, will be offering special £20 menus and additional offers.

The hope is that the cheaper items will celebrate independent dining in the city.

Some of the restaurants taking part in the festival include Chard, in Hove, Lucky Khao, in St James’s Street, Halisco, in Preston Street, and many more.

Varieties of cuisine will range from Mexican to Japanese, Italian to British and everything in between.

Brighton’s Best Restaurant founder Andy Lynes said: “We are delighted with this year’s OctoberBEST line-up, it’s the most varied and exciting one yet.

“Brighton’s restaurant scene is now firmly established as one of the best in the country and OctoberBEST is a fantastic opportunity for locals and visitors alike to really explore the city’s culinary offerings without breaking the bank.”

Some of the discount menus include “A Taste of Autumn” at the Ginger Fox in Henfield and “Little India in Singapore” at The Chilli Pickle in Jubilee Street.

Details on all the offers available and how to book will be released on Monday.
