A TEENAGER was left with serious head injuries after being hit in the head with what is believed to be a hammer.
Police responded to reports of a fight in Monument View, Brighton.
One man, in his late teens, had suffered serious head injuries after being hit with an object believed to be a hammer. He was taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged.
The incident happened at about 9.30pm on August 24.
A 23-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman have both been arrested on suspicion of common assault and grievous bodily harm with intent.
The pair were released on police bail until October 2 while the investigation is ongoing.
A Sussex Police spokesman said the force was still appealing for information on the incident.
He said: “We would like to hear from any outstanding witnesses.
“Anyone with information can report it to us either online or by calling 101 quoting 1472 of 24/08.”
