A BRIGHT pink harvest moon was captured in the skies above Sussex.
The harvest moon happens every year, but Friday’s spectacle was called a “micromoon” due to being about 14 per cent smaller in the sky than an average full moon.
It’s like the opposite of a supermoon. The reduced size is due to the position of the moon when it peaks.
The moon was captured glowing pink and orange above Worthing Pier.
The night was considered extra spooky because the eerie pink and orange moon also appeared on Friday the 13th.
The last time it happened was in the year 2000 and it won’t happen again until 2049.
