A YOUNG boy arrested after a shocking video showed yobs on bikes rampaging through the aisles in Asda has been referred to the youth offender programme.

A gang recorded themselves storming the supermarket - punching one shopper, wrestling an old lady and terrorising families in Brighton.

Sussex Police said a 19-year-old arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm did not answer bail on Friday.

The 13-year-old boy also arrested answered his bail and was released while investigations continue.

The two arrests followed an investigation into the viral video of the smirking youths performing wheelies and tricks in the supermarket.

The GBH allegation relates to a victim who fell during a confrontation with the bike yobs on the nearby seafront, breaking a wrist and a rib.

Superintendent Julia Pope said: “We have made it very clear that we will not tolerate this type of behaviour.

"We have been working tirelessly to track down this group, with the assistance of the Metropolitan Police.

"Our investigation is continuing and we hope to make further arrests."

The video showed the yobs laughing with excitement, as one member faces the camera and said: "Yo we're riding through Asda right now!"

As his pals narrowly miss skidding into shoppers, he can be heard shouting "Uh oh".

But one furious shopper shouts: "They don't even care", prompting another youth to laugh as he cycles standing on the pedals to get more speed.

They continue to laugh, cutting corners through aisles until one young boy is seen wrestling with an elderly woman.

Their antics in Asda was just a two minute segment of the 24-minute video posted on YouTube with the title "The Maddest Day Ever In Brighton".

At one point, they weaved in and out of cars in a busy road.

A man shouted: "You little chavvy f***ers... go learn how to use the f***ing road."

But a youth replies: "You're calling us chavvy? You live in Brighton."
