A LORRY driver had to have his vehicle recovered after crashing into a metal bollard.
The back of the vehicle hung suspended in the air as it balanced on the bell-shaped bollard.
The incident happened at about 11am on the corner of Church Street and Windsor Street in Brighton.
Police are on the scene.
A witness said: "I was passing just after it happened.
"Police are turning vehicles around and a recovery vehicle is now on site.
"It's a bad day at the office for the driver and his lorry."
A recovery truck attempted to dislodge the lorry but a passer-by said the vehicle began to lean further towards the house as it was moved.
A second recovery truck has now been called.
