THREE men have been arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs following a police raid at a Darlington gypsy site.
The raids which were led by officers from Cleveland Police, assisted by Durham Police, targeted the Honeypot Lane caravan site in the Darlington area as part of Operation Sentinel, which is targeting organised crime in the region.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Those targeted in these dawn raids are suspected of being involved in organised crime and investigations continue.
“The activity forms part of Operation Sentinel, which is our regional approach to tackling serious and organised crime.
“Criminals don’t recognise borders and it’s never been more important than now, that we work together to keep our communities safe from this type of activity.”
