A WATER company has made “significant strides” towards improving their services, a watchdog has said.

A report from the Consumer Council for Water has said Southern Water is “improving” its standing in the industry.

According to the company itself, written complaints have dropped by more than a quarter over the last year.

Billing head Mark Field said it was a “testament” to the firm’s employees.

He said the company was “focusing on proactive customer case management” and improving billing across its area.
