SOMETHING has to be done about Lewes and the way it treats the surrounding towns under its control.
Take Sam Brooke’s article regarding Newhaven where a town councillor states “we get their sewage and deal with all their waste”.
They treat Peacehaven with the same contempt and use it to full fill the Government housing quota instead of building in precious Lewes.
Soon the town will be so crowded we will be walking on each other shoulders.
At rush hour it can take five to eight minutes to cross or for a car enter the A259.
Lewes councillors should be ashamed, but I doubt it.
I bet they laugh and say “the peasants are getting restless”.
