A WOMAN offered a free Mr Whippy in exchange for her phone number woke up to a frosty voicemail from an ice cream vendor’s wife.

Jenny Wilde, 25, was in Brighton with her friends for Pride.

She said: “We were on the beach during the day. We fancied something to eat and that’s when we met the ice cream vendor.

“I stuck out my hand and he stopped the van in the middle of the street.

“He wasn’t an old man. He was about 30, and didn’t seem creepy. He was kind of a cheeky lad.

The Argus:

“I asked for an ice cream – a 99 flake – and said ‘how much?’

“He said: ‘Just your number.’

“‘How much?’ I said. I couldn’t believe it.

“Me and my friends were all laughing. It was free ice cream. So I took one for the team and gave him my number.

“He phoned me to check the number was right, and I didn’t hear anything for ages.

“Then one morning I woke up to four missed calls on my mobile and a voice message from the ice cream seller’s wife. She was really angry.”

In the clip, a woman’s voice says: “F*** do you think you are to be on my husband’s phone?”

The exchange has since gone viral on the internet.

Jenny said: “People have blamed me, saying I’ve wrecked a marriage.

“But it’s not my fault!”
