THE Labour Party conference rolls into Brighton this weekend and in anticipation we have taken to the Argus archives to find shots from the three previous times the party has visited the city in the last decade.
Each time the party had a different leader and different messages.
In 2009 Prime Minister Gordon Brown and wife Sarah made their way to address the Labour Party Conference.
Meanwhile semi-naked pensioners made their point on the beach opposite the conference. Hopefully it was warm or they would have been very chilly.
In 2013 Labour leader Ed Miliband addressed shoppers in Brighton town centre on the eve of the Labour Party annual conference.
And in 2017 Jeremy Corbyn led the delegates in the singing of The Red Flag after delivering his leader’s speech at the Labour Party Conference in Brighton.
He also met Beccy Cooper, Labour councillor for Worthing Marine, with children Joseph, six, and Sam, four, during a visit to the Baked Cafe in Worthing.
