GAS supplies have been cut off after a fire at a block of flats.
It follows the blaze at Pankhurst Avenue, Brighton last night.
Now it has been reported that Southern Gas Network has cut off the cupply to more properties in the road for safety reasons.
Firefighters tackled the blaze at the flats last night.
This morning fire crews have continued to damp down the site, and have inspected the properties from above.
The top floor was destroyed and the building was evacuated.
The SGN has cut the gas supply to a further 20 properties, and will not reconnect it for at least two days.
