A POPULAR YouTuber said she loved every moment of her debut on Strictly Come Dancing.

Saffron Barker, from Rottingdean, performed the tango with her professional dance partner AJ Pritchard.

The talented 19-year-old impressed the judges with her first appearance on the dancefloor, earning a “solid” score of 27.

She said her Nanas Ivy and Pam were watching the dance at home, while her parents were among the Strictly audience.

On the show Saffron revealed how her internet videos started when she was on a family holiday and said she could never imagine she would have enjoyed so much success.

"I feel very, very lucky," she said. "My channel is every day life and pretty much the reality of a teenage girl."

Bruno Tonioli said she was “hot and on it” as she appeared in a sparkling red dress for the passionate Argentine dance.

Meanwhile lead judge Shirley Ballas said Saffron performed the “difficult choreography” and “kept with AJ all the time”.

She said that Saffron will need to work on her core and her frame, but said: “That was fabulous, truly.”

Motsi Mabuse said she “loved” the dance and said Saffron was “alive” on the floor.

Saffron, who has more than 4.5 million followers on her YouTube social media channel, even impressed Craig Revel Horwood who said she had “great energy”.

But she was fifth out of 15 contestants, with Emmerdale soap actor Kelvin Fletcher earning 32 points with partner Oti Mabuse.

After the performance Saffron said: “It’s the scariest thing I have ever done but it was amazing, thank you so much.”
