A MAN has been jailed for spouting homophobic and racist abuse.

Allan Morris used the threatening or abusive words and behaviour towards a man in Queen’s Road, Brighton, last month.

The 43-year-old, of no fixed address, admitted the charge at Brighton Magistrates’ Court, where he was jailed for 12 weeks.

Court documents say the offence was “so serious because of a deliberate attack on a public servant, carrying out public duties”. Morris had used “racial and homophobic langauge”. He was ordered to pay a £122 surcharge and £85 costs.
