A VAN driver was "showered in broken glass" and taken to hospital after a crash.
His white Fiat collided with an unknown vehicle, which failed to stop, at about 7.30am on Wednesday.
The van driver was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with minor injuries.
The crash happened on the A259 near Blakeney Avenue - between Peacehaven and Newhaven.

It happened on Wednesday 25 September about 7.30am, and involved a white Fiat van and an unknown vehicle.

Police are now trying to track down the driver of the other vehicle.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "If you are the owner of the vehicle which failed to stop, or if you saw what happened, please email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 263 of 25/09."
