IT WAS a busy weekend for police officers with a large number of arrests being made.
Brighton and Hove Police revealed it had made 66 arrests during the two day period.
The force said that people had been detained for a range of offences.
These included criminal damage, drink driving, and drunk and disorderly behaviour.
A spokesman said: “Help us tackle crime and poor behaviour in our city by reporting online or by calling 101.”
One of the arrests was made after a van was driven the wrong way around a city centre road and then onto the pavement.
This happened late on Friday night.
Brighton and Hove Police released a picture of the large white van and a spokesman said: “The van was stopped after driving the wrong way along Old Steine and then driving on the pavement.
“The occupant was arrested for driving while unfit and a blood sample was taken.”
