DRIVERS have reported lengthy delays on a busy road due to roadworks.
West Sussex County Council has warned that the works which are causing the disruption will last until Friday.
Journeys lasted up to 30 minutes longer than usual as temporary traffic lights have been put in place on the A259 Brighton Road in Shoreham, near the Sussex Yacht Club.
This is because Southern Water is laying a “new water connection” in the area with work “currently in progress”.
This morning an AA spokesman reported queuing traffic and severe delays in the area.
