COUNCIL leader Nancy Platts complaining about lack of funding should perhaps be looking at their own management of public funds.
Money wasted on schemes such as Valley Gardens, the i360 and under-used cycle lanes in The Drive and Old Shoreham Road are just examples of our council’s almost “flippant” waste of money. Furthermore, there are millions in unpaid council tax bills.
Week after week we see in the news council leaders spending vast sums of money like it “grows on trees”.
Frankly, I would not trust Brighton Council to run a school tuck shop.
