A TEENAGER has been banned from Brighton and Hove after a group of youths invaded a supermarket on their bikes.

In June a video was released online of the gang cycling through the aisles of the Asda store at Brighton Marina.

Riders narrowly missed shoppers as they made their way around the store and one of the group could be seen punching a customer after an altercation.

Now a teenager will appear in court charged with offences relating to the incident.

Keith Mujuru, 19, unemployed, of Law Street, Southwark, London, was arrested in Whyteleafe, Surrey, in the early hours of Wednesday.

He has been charged with dangerous cycling, using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress and arrest by a constable as unlikely to surrender to custody - breach of bail conditions.

He has been bailed with conditions not to enter Brighton and Hove and will appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on October 23.

A 13-year-old boy, who was arrested in connection with the same incident, is currently released under investigation pending further enquiries.

In the meantime, he has been referred to the Youth Offender Services.
