SNOOKER ace Ronnie O’Sullivan has described Crawley as a urine smelling hell-hole he can't wait to leave.

The five-time world snooker champion has been less than kind about the Sussex town where he is currently competing in the English Open at the K2 Leisure Centre.

Asked what he planned to do with a day off from the tournament Ronnie said: “Definitely get away from this place.

“Every day in Crawley is a day lost in my life."

When asked whether the town had any redeeming features he said: “Yeah, the M23 out of here.”

The K2 has made improvements for players since last year’s competition, but the 42-year-old said: “It hasn’t changed as far as I’m concerned.

“You’d have to do a lot to change this place, wouldn’t you?

"You’d have to do an overall refurb on this place, but I’m not surprised, it is what I expected it to be.

“I’ve just gone from the match table to a squash court to a toilet, where the player’s office is, to outside the building, in the rain, to get round here to do interviews, so I’ll probably end up with a bit of pneumonia on top of the cold which I’ve already got.

"It’s not ideal.”
