LESSONS have been suspended at a college due to staff striking for more school funding.
On Thursday National Education Union members at Bhasvic sixth form in Hove will down tools and protest outside the college at 7.30am demanding a pay rise and more Government funding.
Wilhelmenia Etoga Ngono, a union representative at Bhasvic, said principal William Baldwin had confirmed all lessons on Thursday would be suspended.
But he said the college would remain open for students and staff.
Union members at Varndean College in Brighton will also take strike action on Thursday.
But the college declined to comment on whether any lessons would be cancelled.
The strikes are part of a national day of action by the National Education Union.
A national demonstration will be held in London at 10.30am.
