THREE PEOPLE have been arrested after a video emerged of an attack on a 60-year-old man .

The incident happened in Duke Street, Brighton, on Sunday evening. 

It is reported the man, who is believed to have been homeless, was kicked and punched by a group of people at about 8.35pm.

A woman was filmed pouring liquid on him. 

He was taken to hospital to be checked over and was released.

Two women aged 24 and 32 and a 31-year-old man were detained on suspicion of affray and are currently in custody.

Inspector Karen Osborn said: "We have arrested three people in connection with the assault and our enquiries are continuing. 

"We would like to thank those members of the public who contacted us with information which has helped us to move the investigation forward."
