A ROUGH sleeper has been prosecuted for a sign begging for money while he slept.
Edward Pengilly, 28, admitted breaking a criminal behaviour order to stop him asking for money in Brighton city centre.
But he was spotted in Bartholomew Square with a sign asking for cash. It followed his conviction under the 1824 Vagrancy Act last month.
Pengilly, of no fixed address, appeared before Brighton Magistrates’ Court again and was told to complete 15 rehabilitation sessions.
He was told to pay a £100 fine,£90 surcharge and £85 costs.
