AN ACTOR who starred in hit film The Truman Show has sponsored a coach for anti-Brexit protesters.
Natascha McElhone went to St Mary’s School for Girls in Brighton and subsequently starred in the 1998 comedy with Jim Carrey.
Now she has paid for a bus to transport protesters from the city to a People’s Vote rally in London tomorrow.
There activists will demand a second Brexit referendum.
Ms McElhone said: “As exhausting as it is we can’t give up on this now.
“Brexit will affect our country for generations to come.
“Let’s put the choice back to the people now we finally have an idea of what the ramifications of Brexit actually mean.
“‘To sin by silence when we should protest makes cowards out of men’ – I love this quote from Ella Wheeler Wilcox over one hundred years ago.
“Let’s demand a vote on this current reality which is so very different from what people originally voted on.”
