CAMPAIGNERS have called for golf courses to be left to nature.
Nature campaign group the Brighton Downs Alliance have called for Hollingbury and Waterhall golf courses in Brighton to be turned into traditionally grazed sheep pasture.
Member Kia Trainor said leaving the courses to nature would recover rare chalk grassland and “reconnect” residents to farming on the South Downs and address climate change in the area.
