POLICE investigating the death of a man have extended the release on bail of two people while an intensive investigation continues.

The 40-year-old man and the 35-year-old woman were arrested on September 22 on suspicion of the murder of Daniel Weyman, 32, of Belmont Street, Bognor, in Belmont Street in the early hours of that day.

After being interviewed they were released on police bail until Sunday.

As detailed police enquiries are ongoing, their bail has now been extended until 18 December 18.

Daniel was found with serious injuries in Belmont Street at just before 1.50am.

He was taken by air ambulance to hospital in Southampton but died there later the same afternoon.

Detective Inspector Gordon Denslow, Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team said: "This is a complex investigation and we working hard to establish the full circumstances. Meanwhile our thoughts remain with the deceased and his family. They are being supported by specially trained officers.

"We are still keen to talk to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has any other information that could help.
