A STALKER targeted a woman over a “prolonged” period and had a knife.
Dean Cox carried out the campaign against the woman in Portslade.
He repeatedly contacted her, entered her address, and made video recordings of her.
At Brighton Magistrates’ Court the 34-year-old admitted stalking, where he knew his behaviour amounted to harassment.
Court documents state his behaviour was “serious” because “the stalking was over a prolonged period and involved a knife”.
Magistrates imposed an eight-week suspended prison sentence.
Cox, of Meadow View, Bevendean, was put under a restraining order not to contact the woman either directly or indirectly, apart from through a third party.
The order lasts until September 2021.
He must attend 15 rehabilitation sessions and pay a £122 surcharge and £85 costs.
