A MAN accused of stealing a wifi adapter threw curry sauce over a woman on the bus.
Jordan Russell saw red and attacked Laura Douglas on their way back to Portslade.
The 21-year-old had exchanged angry text messages with Ms Douglas before getting on the same bus.
She had accused him of taking a wifi adapter, which he denied.
In the argument, Ms Douglas said Russell had thrown a packet of McDonald’s curry sauce over her coat and grabbed her by the wrist forcefully.
At Brighton Magistrates’ Court, Russell, of George Williams Mews, Portslade, admitted assaulting Ms Douglas with the sauce but denied grabbing her.
He also admitted possessing cannabis.
Russell was ordered to pay £160 in fines, a £32 surcharge, and £85 costs.
He also was ordered to pay £50 in compensation to Ms Douglas for damage to her jacket.
