A PICKPOCKET and thief has been jailed after a string of offences.

Peter Lonergan stole an electric shaver from Boots in Eastbourne.

The 35-year-old had been released on licence from prison and was already subject to a community order for shoplifting.

He had previously been convicted of using a stolen bank card to buy items.

Documents reveal he was part of a “group action” in the “leading role” for pickpocketing.

At Hastings Magistrates’ Court Lonergan, of Hurst Lane, Eastbourne, admitted the breach and theft. He was jailed for ten weeks.
