A COCKTAIL bar named after “Brighton’s original cougar” has opened a botanical roof terrace.
Mrs Fitzherbert’s in New Road next to the Royal Pavilion, is launching a “lost garden” themed bar with a retractable roof, a disco shed and a toasty outdoor fireplace.
It will serve “herbaceous, horticulture-inspired” cocktails poured from watering cans and presented in plant pots.
Mrs Fitzherbert’s takes its name from George IV’s lover Maria Anne Fitzherbert.
She was six years older than George.
The bar now offers two for £10 “Cougar’s Cocktails” all day on Mondays and Tuesdays and until 9pm from Wednesday to Saturday.
For bookings call 01273 682401.
