A BRITISH airways flight from Gatwick Airport has declared a "mid-air emergency".
The BA2518 flight took off just before 8.40pm - and was due to arrive in Glasgow at 9.50pm.
Unconfirmed reports suggest the alert was a medical emergency.
The aircraft squawked 7700 54 minutes into the flight which indicates an "urgent" or "distress" situation.
Air traffic control facilities in the area were immediately alerted to the aircraft.
The emergency was declared over Dumfries - a town in Scotland.
The plane landed just before 9.40pm.
British Airways has been contacted for comment.
