I HAD hoped that Brighton & Hove buses would have put Maurice Packham’s name on one of their new buses for the 5/5B Patcham/Hollingbury route.
Maurice Packham died last year.
He was a Brightonian through and through.
He was a first class teacher who loved his subjects (English and history).
I was a pupil at Patcham from 1959 to 1963 and he taught me both subjects.
His lessons were always interesting and never boring.
I am sure that if any of my school chums see this, they would agree.
We should have a bus dedicated to Maurice Packham.
