POLICE have revealed how many arrests were made in the city this weekend.

Officers in Brighton and Hove were kept busy during the stormy three day break.

A Brighton and Hove Police spokesman said: “We made 43 arrests across Brighton and Hove over the wet and windy weekend for offences including burglary, assault, harassment, and possession of a Class A drug. If you witness or experience crime then report to us via 101 or online.”

One man was arrested after a crash in Old Steine, Brighton, at about 1.30am on Sunday.

Oliver Edge, 30, of Coxham Way, Steyning, has been charged with driving with 60mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system.

He is due to appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on November 21.
