MOTORBIKE riders from Brighton are taking part in a bid to create the biggest poppy ever on Remembrance Sunday.
The Ring of Red started in 2013. It is a way for bikers to honour the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces.
Thousands of bikers meet at nine service stations at junctions on the M25. By 1.30pm on Sunday the bikers, all wearing something red, ride on to the M25 clockwise and travel at 55mph. The riders aim to link up and form a complete circle. Seen from the air, it would show a ring of red symbolising a poppy.
Many thousands of riders turn out each year.
There also will be a Remembrance Day Service at Newhaven Fort for members of the motorcycle, scooter and trike community on Sunday from 10.30am to 11.30am. Riders will set off from Madeira Drive, Brighton.
