A MAN could not believe his eyes when the outline of an enormous monster towered over him.
The startling figure of Godzilla was pictured wandering across the skyline in Seaford on Friday.
Deneys Botha had been going about his day when he came across the creature looming over the homes of unwitting residents.
Fortunately the monster, which famously terrorised Tokyo, turned out to be an unusual formation of clouds.
Deneys said: “I dropped my wife off at the station and, after parking, I just happened to notice Godzilla above the block of flats behind me. So I thought I would give everyone in Seaford something to smile about this morning.”
He posted the picture on social media where several other residents said they had noticed it.
The first Godzilla film was released in 1954, depicting a 50 metre tall monster which evolved from an ancient sea creature.
It unleashes a ferocious attack on the city of Tokyo demolishing large parts of the city with its large size and “atomic breath”.
But the monster’s trip to the Sussex coast was far more peaceful, with only a smattering of rain to show for his trip.
