A WEATHER warning has been issued as heavy rain is set to sweep across Sussex.
Residents are being warned to expect flooding and disruption to transport services.
The Met Office has put a Yellow Weather Warning for rain across much of the South East, including Brighton and Hove.
This is in place until midnight.
A spokesman said: "A band of rain, heavy at times, will arrive from the west later this morning and become slow-moving.
"A total of 10 to 20 mm of rain is likely, perhaps up to 30 mm in a few places.
"The rain will slowly clear southwards overnight.
"People should expect bus and train services to probably be affected with journey times taking longer.
"Spray and flooding on roads will also probably make journey times longer."
