A TEENAGER has died after falling from the roof of a car park.

The girl, understood to be 17, is said to have climbed to the top of the 900-space car park in Horsham, when she fell to her death.

Emergency crews were scrambled to the incident in Swan Walk at around 4.30pm on Wednesday.

Police confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances and no one else is involved.

She has not yet been named but is understood to be from the Brighton area.

A post mortem will be carried out to establish a cause of death and an inquest opened and adjourned next week.

Sussex Police said: "Just before 4.30pm on Wednesday we received a report from the ambulance service that a woman had fallen from a multi-storey-car park, Swan Walk, in Springfield Road, Horsham.

"Paramedics attended but sadly the woman was confirmed deceased at the scene."
