A FRAUDSTER who sold fake car parts has been ordered to cough-up more than £100,000.
Istvan Lorincz sold the motor parts in Hailsham and pretended they were from genuine motoring dealers.
But the 44-year-old was convicted for 25 breaches of the Trade Marks Act.
He used the proceeds to fund holidays, a flat in Budapest, and £30,000 in bank transfers to his “darling wife”.
More than £40,000 worth of car parts were found in his home, and he was selling the items on internet auction sites.
Previously he was given a suspended prison sentence and ordered to complete 125 hours of community service.
At Hove Crown Court Lorincz, of George Street, Hailsham, was ordered to pay for “exploiting” the public.
In total he must pay £103,000 under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
East Sussex County Council Trading Standards manager Richard Strawson said: “He not only tricked people into paying for inferior goods, his actions also had a detrimental effect on genuine traders and the manufacturers.”
