Police have arrested and charged a man with committing a burglary at a flat in Hove.
Linval Thomas, 50, of Kings Mews, Hove, was detained on Friday and charged with carrying out the burglary at the flat 11 September.
The woman victim woke up in her flat in Goldstone Villas to find a man in her bedroom in the early hours trying to steal her purse from her handbag.
Thomas appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Monday and was remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 16 December.
