A POPULAR pub has reopened following an extensive makeover.
The Preston Brewery Tap in Preston Road has undergone a huge design overhaul and interior changes and been completely refurbished.
It no longer has multiple TVs showing Sky Sports.
Sara Wilkinson, along with her business partner Kate Gregory, had a reopening event earlier this month.
This is Sara’s first pursuit into pub ownership after 20 years of working as a chef - most recently at Busby & Wilds in Kemptown.
Both Sara and Kate are members of Brighton & Hove Hockey Club and are hopeful the pub will attract local sports teams for social events, and for post-training brunches on the weekend.
As part of the on-going refurb, launching soon at the pub will be an evening pizza menu, which will also be available to takeaway.
The pub that has stood prominently on the corner of Preston Road and South Road since 1888.
