A MAN was injured after being approached and attacked by three men.

The 37-year-old was assaulted outside the Albany Hotel in The Drive, Hove at 1.15pm on November 12.

Police were called to the scene, and said all the men were known to each other.

The hotel was cordoned off while police started an investigation.

Detective Inspector Cath O’Connor said: “We are appealing for any witnesses, or drivers of passing vehicles who may have relevant dash-cam footage, to come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101 or online and quote Operation Beret.

Police have now confirmed a 55-year-old man has since been held on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm.

He has been bailed until December 12 while the investigation continues.
